Philosophy & frequently asked questions
A short walk-through of the studio, start to finish.
Most ad tools start with the picture. That is the wrong end of the problem.
A campaign is not a design problem. It is a decision about who you are talking to, and what would actually move that person — made before anyone opens a canvas. Get that decision right and ordinary creative sells. Get it wrong and beautiful creative sells nothing, which is the expensive way most advertising fails.
So CampaignPress works the way a good creative director works. It reads your business, argues its way to your single best prospect, and only then decides what the ads should say and look like. The strategy is the product. The pixels are the output.
It does not have one house style, because there is no single right way to sell. It carries the thinking of 28 of the most effective marketing minds in history — Ogilvy’s research-first discipline, Hopkins’ relentless testing, Schwartz’s market awareness, Ries and Trout’s positioning, Sharp’s mental availability, Cialdini’s psychology, and more. You choose whose thinking directs the work, or blend two schools and set the balance between them. That is a choice a strategist makes, and now it is a choice you can make in a few seconds.
We believe speed should not cost you rigor. A campaign that takes weeks does not take weeks because the thinking is slow — it takes weeks because it waits in queues. Remove the queues, keep the thinking, and a complete campaign takes minutes.
Ads built to sell.
Define
Your single best prospect, named and argued for — not a demographic guess.
Direct
A strategy chosen from proven schools of marketing, steering every word and image.
Deliver
Copy, imagery, and every ad size, finished and ready to upload.
Getting started
What this is, who it is for, and what happens the first time you use it.
What does CampaignPress actually do?
You describe your business once. CampaignPress works out who your best prospect is, builds a campaign strategy aimed at that person, then writes the ad copy, generates the imagery, and lays out every ad size you need — all in one sitting.
You end up with finished assets you can upload to Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or wherever you are running, plus the strategic reasoning behind them so you can explain the campaign to a client or a boss.
Who is it for?
Business owners running their own campaigns, marketers who need to move faster than a production queue allows, and agencies producing work for many clients at once.
It assumes you know your business. It does not assume you are a copywriter, an art director, or a media strategist — that is the part it brings.
Do I need design or marketing experience?
No. The defaults are chosen to produce good work with no adjustment at all — leave every dial alone and you will get a complete, competent campaign.
The controls are there for when you know what you want. An experienced marketer can direct the strategy school, the art direction, and the visual style precisely. Everyone else can ignore all of it.
How long does a campaign take?
Minutes. The strategy and all the copy arrive together in one pass. Images take a little longer depending on how many and what quality you ask for.
Is this just another AI image generator?
No, and the difference is the whole point. An image generator gives you a picture. It has no opinion about who should see it or what it should say, because you never told it about your business and it never asked.
CampaignPress decides the strategy first, and every image is generated in service of that strategy. The picture is the last step, not the first.
The Brief — Define
The one screen where you tell it about your business. Everything downstream depends on this.
What should I put in the brief?
Your business, what you sell, who you think buys it, where you operate, and what you want the campaign to achieve. If you have a website, add it — it gives the strategy real detail to work from.
Write it the way you would explain your business to a smart person who has never heard of it. Plain sentences beat marketing language here.
What campaign goals can I choose?
Leads, phone calls, online sales, website traffic, and brand awareness. The goal changes the strategy meaningfully — a phone-calls campaign and a brand-awareness campaign aimed at the same audience will produce genuinely different work, not the same ads with a different button.
Which platforms can I create for?
Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and ChatGPT. Each one gets copy written to its own character limits and conventions, because a headline that works on LinkedIn does not work on TikTok.
Can I make organic posts, not just paid ads?
Yes. Switch the content mode from ads to organic and the whole approach changes. Paid ads ask for the click. Organic content earns attention first — so it is written differently, and the strategy behind it is aimed at being remembered rather than converting on the spot.
What if I do not know who my best prospect is?
That is the most useful case for this tool. Describe your business and your rough sense of who buys, and let it make the argument. It will name a specific prospect and explain why that person — which you are free to disagree with, adjust the brief, and run again.
Strategy & Copy — Direct
Choosing whose thinking runs your campaign, and what comes back.
What are the 28 schools of marketing?
Each one encodes the working philosophy of a marketer whose methods are documented and proven — among them David Ogilvy, Claude Hopkins, Eugene Schwartz, Al Ries and Jack Trout, Seth Godin, Bill Bernbach, Leo Burnett, Rosser Reeves, John Caples, Gary Halbert, Byron Sharp, Robert Cialdini, Joseph Sugarman, Rory Sutherland, and more, plus modern approaches like jobs-to-be-done, local-market, and purpose-led.
Choosing one does not change the wording alone. It changes what the campaign argues, how it opens, what it emphasizes, and what it deliberately leaves out.
What does blending two schools do?
It lets one school set the spine of the campaign while a second sharpens it. The slider sets the balance, from an even 50/50 up to 95/5.
The primary school always sets the structure, voice, and argument. The secondary seasons it in proportion to its weight. Ogilvy directed with a touch of Halbert is a very different campaign from Halbert directed with a touch of Ogilvy — which is exactly the point.
How many strategy combinations are there?
Counting a single school on its own, plus every valid pairing at every position on the blend slider: 7,869 distinct ways to direct a campaign. Multiply that by your platform, goal, and content mode and the number gets silly — but 7,869 is the number that matters, because that is the strategy itself.
What if I do not want to choose a school?
Leave it on Auto. It reads your brief and picks the approach that suits your business, your goal, and your market. Auto is a genuine recommendation, not a neutral average.
What do I get back from one run?
Your best prospect with the reasoning behind the choice, plus three complete campaign approaches — conservative, bold, and cutting edge. Each comes with its own strategy, full ad copy written to your platform’s limits, a banner headline and subline, a call to action, and an accent colour and image direction.
You pick the approach you want to build out. The others stay available.
Can I edit the copy?
Yes. Every line is editable, and you can save individual lines to your gallery as you go. You can also generate more variations of any element you want more options on.
Imagery
Art direction, visual style, and using your own pictures.
What do the Art Direction dials actually control?
They are real controls, not decoration — model, colour treatment, lighting, and style all change what is sent to the image model, and the output changes with them.
You can safely ignore them. The defaults are chosen to look right for your chosen strategy and brand colour.
What is the difference between draft, standard, and final images?
Draft is for deciding — cheap, fast, good enough to judge a direction. Standard is a publish-ready master suitable for social and display. Final is a full-quality 2K master for when the image has to hold up at size.
The usual workflow is to explore in draft and only spend on final once you know which image you want.
Can I upload my own image?
Yes, and you choose what it is for. Drag an image onto the upload area, or click to browse, then pick:
- Style reference — guides the look of every image generated in the campaign. Every image adopts its visual style, not its subject.
- Gallery upload — saved as-is, ready to use in banners and decks.
A gallery upload appears in the picker immediately, so you can use it straight away without leaving the page.
Can I use a competitor’s ad as a style reference?
No. Use your own imagery or images you have licensed. A reference guides visual style only, but that is not a licence to copy someone else’s work — and it is your account that carries the risk.
Will my brand colours be used?
Yes. Set your brand colour in the brief and it carries through the campaign — into the accent colours, the banner layouts, and the image direction.
Banner Studio
Turning an approved image into every ad size you need.
What does the Banner Studio do?
It takes your chosen image and your approved copy and lays out finished ad units at the sizes the ad platforms actually require — with your headline, subline, call to action, and brand colour applied consistently across all of them.
Can I adjust the layout?
Yes. Text, placement, and colour are all adjustable per size, so a headline that crowds one format can be shortened just for that format without touching the others.
What format do I get for uploading?
Standard image files, ready to upload directly to the ad platforms. No conversion step and no design software needed.
Video
Turning a still image into a short motion clip. Available on Pro and Agency.
How does video work?
You start from an image you have already made and approved, add a short direction describing what should happen in the scene, and it generates a clip from that frame. Clips are six seconds by default and up to ten seconds.
Why does video cost so much more than images?
Because it genuinely costs us far more to produce. Video is priced per second of finished clip rather than per render, so a short clip costs proportionally less than a long one. Higher quality costs more per second than standard.
We would rather price it honestly per second than hide the cost in a flat rate that overcharges short clips to subsidise long ones.
Where does my finished video go?
Straight into your gallery, automatically, the moment it finishes. A clip costs real money to make, so it is filed for you rather than waiting for you to click save — you cannot lose one by closing the panel.
What if a render fails?
Your points are returned automatically. You are never charged for a render that did not produce a usable result.
Gallery & Campaigns
Where your saved work lives, and how long it stays.
What is the difference between a saved asset and a draft?
Anything you deliberately save — an image, a video, a copy line, a banner — goes to your gallery and stays there. Drafts are the things you generated while exploring and never saved.
How much storage do I get?
| Level | Gallery storage |
|---|---|
| No active plan | 25 MB |
| Starter | 250 MB |
| Pro | 1 GB |
| Agency | 5 GB |
Text and copy lines are tiny. Storage is really about images and video.
What happens when my gallery is full?
Saving stops until you free up room or move to a larger plan. Nothing already saved is deleted to make space — we will never quietly remove your work to fit something new.
Can I save and reopen a whole campaign?
Yes. Save a campaign and everything comes back together — brief, strategy, copy, and assets — so you can pick it up later or use it as the starting point for the next one.
Points & Billing
How the currency works, what things cost, and what happens when they expire.
Why points instead of a flat unlimited plan?
Because the work genuinely costs different amounts. A line of copy and a 2K master image are not the same expense, and video is not remotely the same expense as either.
Points let you spend where the value is. Explore cheaply in draft, spend on the one image worth finishing. A flat plan would mean light users subsidising heavy ones, and everyone paying for a ceiling they never reach.
What does each action cost?
Cheapest first: writing costs least, draft images are inexpensive because they exist for deciding, publish-ready images cost more, full 2K masters cost more again, and video is the most expensive by some distance because it is billed per second of finished clip.
The exact figure for every action is on the pricing page – that page reads the live numbers from the system, so it is right even if this page has not been touched in a while. The studio also shows the cost of an action, and your balance, before you spend anything – nothing is charged without the number in front of you first.
What happens if a generation fails?
Your points are returned automatically. You are only ever charged for work that produced a result.
Do my points expire?
Monthly plan points are for using while you are a member — they expire 30 days after a membership ends. Points you bought outright in a pack last a full year from purchase.
Spending always uses your monthly plan points first, so the points you paid extra for are the last to go. Every expiry is written to your history where you can see it, and you get a warning before you run low.
Can I buy more points without changing plan?
Yes. Point packs are one-time purchases that top up your balance and sit alongside your monthly points. They do not change your plan, your seats, or your storage.
Can point pricing change?
Yes. What a point costs, and what each action costs in points, can change at any time without notice — AI providers change their own prices, sometimes sharply, and we have to be able to respond.
Points already in your balance are not taken away when pricing changes. See the Terms & Point Policy for the full detail.
How do I cancel?
From your account page, at any time. You keep access and your points for the rest of the period you have already paid for. See the Terms & Point Policy for refund detail.
Membership, trials & invites
How to get in, and how to bring other people with you.
Which plan should I choose?
| Plan | Points/mo | Seats | Storage | Video | Your branding |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 400 | 1 | 250 MB | — | — |
| Pro | 1,200 | 3 | 1 GB | Yes | Yes |
| Agency | 4,000 | 5 | 5 GB | Yes | Yes |
Starter suits an owner running their own campaigns. Pro suits heavy creators and small teams who need video and their own branding on client work. Agency suits teams running many clients, and has the best point rate.
Current prices and monthly point allowances are always the ones shown on the pricing page – read live from the system, so they stay right even when this page has not been updated.
Is there a free version?
No, and that is deliberate. Every campaign costs us real money in AI processing, and a free tier would mean paying members subsidising people who never intend to pay — which shows up as a slower, more limited product for the people who actually rely on it.
There are trials, but they arrive by invitation rather than by signup form.
How do I get a trial?
A trial is opened either by an invitation from an existing member, or with a promotional code. A trial gives you 30 points to spend, valid for 14 days.
Trials can do everything except make video, which is blocked because it costs real cash per clip. Images generated on a trial carry a small CampaignPress mark, which disappears the moment you become a paying member.
How do invites work — and what do I get for inviting someone?
Every paying member gets invitations to give away: 3 on Starter, 5 on Pro, 7 on Agency.
When someone you invited becomes a paying member: they receive 100 bonus points, you receive 150 points, and your invitation comes back to use again. Invite people who genuinely need this and you never run out.
Invitations are limited on purpose. Trials cost us real money, and a limited invitation given to the right person is worth more than an open door.
Why can trials not send invitations?
Because otherwise trials would mint trials indefinitely, and the invitation would mean nothing. Inviting is a benefit of paying membership.
Teams & agencies
Working with colleagues, and putting your own name on the work.
How do team seats work?
Pro includes 3 seats and Agency includes 5. Everyone on a seat works in the same shared workspace — the same gallery, the same saved campaigns, and one shared pool of points, so you are not dividing an allowance between people.
Can I put my own agency branding on client work?
Yes, on Pro and Agency. Add your agency name and logo and client-facing decks carry your brand rather than ours. Your client sees your work, from your agency.
Can I run campaigns for several clients?
Yes. Save each client’s campaign separately and reopen whichever you need. Brand colours, saved assets, and campaign history stay with each one.
Your data & your rights
Who owns what, and what happens to it.
Who owns the ads I create?
You do. Use them commercially however you like. Read the Terms for the full statement, including the limits that apply to all AI-generated output.
Is my business information used to train AI models?
Your brief is sent to the AI providers that generate your campaign, and it is used to produce your work. See our Terms & Privacy for exactly how information is handled and which providers are involved.
Can I delete my work?
Yes. Delete any asset or campaign at any time from your gallery, and it is gone.
Should I check AI-generated copy before running it?
Yes — always. AI can produce claims that are wrong for your business, and some industries have advertising rules that no tool can know about. You are responsible for what you publish. Read it before it runs.
Support
Getting help from a human.
How do I get help?
Email rosh@rosh.media, or tick the Support box in the community chat and your message comes straight to us. Full contact details are on the contact page.
Something went wrong and I lost points. What now?
Failed generations refund automatically, so in most cases the points are already back — check your points history, where every charge, refund, and expiry is listed.
If something still looks wrong, email us with roughly when it happened and we will look at it.
Can I suggest a feature?
Please do. A great deal of what is in CampaignPress exists because a member asked for it.
